DESCRIPTION LITTLE MOONS COCONUT MOCHI

Mochi on the outside according to a Japanese recipe, on the inside the finest Italian-style ice cream, that's Little Moons Mochis.

The outer batter was made from rice flour and wrapped around the ice cream. It's soft and elastic. The ice cream inside has a creamy consistency.

One of the best tropical coconut qualities from Sumatra was selected for the coconut ice cream mochi. The mochi dough around the outside was also sprinkled with fine coconut chips. This variety is gluten free.

WHAT ARE MOCHIS

Mochis are rice cakes, a Japanese delicacy, made from glutinous rice. They are available in a wide variety of variants. Often they are filled with something sweet, such as a sweet bean paste. Siblings Howard and Vivien Wong founded Little Moons in the UK in 2010. Until then, mochis were produced according to traditional Japanese recipes in her parents' bakery. In the early years, the innovative ice cream mochis were only delivered to restaurants in Great Britain. In close contact with chefs, the ice cream recipes were optimized and the best sources for the ingredients found.
