Craft Beer Ryuhyo Draft is produced in Hokkaido, in northern Japan in the city of Abashiri. The city is located on a lake called the Sea of Okhotsk. The lake and the drift ice in winter inspired the manufacturer to produce a craft beer with the blue color of the lake. The drift ice of the lake is used as water and the natural pigment gardenia from the plant of the same name ensures the extraordinary blue color.
The Craft Beer has a reduced malt content and is therefore lighter in taste.
